Killed in Action

MR. AND MRS. M. J. McINERNEY, of 4 Cavendish Street, Kilkenny, have been notified that their elder son, DESMOND JOHN, was killed in action in New Guinea on October 12.
Desmond joined the A.M.F. in July, 1942, and transferred to the A.I.F. in April, 1943. He was born at Kilkenny in 1924 and was 19 years and 5 months of age at the time of his death. He was educated at St. Joseph's School, North Croydon, and
the Marist Brothers' School, Alberton.

He was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Saviour's, Hindmarsh, the C.Y.M. Society, and St. Margaret Mary's Tennis Club, and popular with all with whom he came in contact.

Besides his parents, he leaves a sister. (Sister Sheila Mclnerney, Aston Hospital, Prospect) and a younger brother, Eiffe, to mourn their sad loss.

May God grant him eternal rest.
