A Soldier settler

Bruce Ross came to Kangaroo Island as part of the War Service Settlement Scheme and was assigned a block in the Gosse area. He was killed in a car accident and the block re- allotted to another serviceman. The local RSL had a special chair as the Bruce Ross memorial chair to commemorate him.
He was good friends with Ross Mellett who had served in Z force.
