Ron was born and grew up in Norwood, S.A.
He enlisted in 1941, and married May (nee Wright) on December 15th 1941, just before entering service in New Guinea.
On his discharge in 1946 he built a house in Coorara Avenue, Payneham South, where he lived the rest of his life.
He worked as a cabinet maker at L. Cann & Son, Norwood, until his retirement.
He had four sons, Geoff (10/3/44), Trevor (12/9/51), Paul (4/4/54) and Brian (14/3/59)
