Biography contributed by Allison Ballard

Ralph Barnett Taylor was the son of Mr Herbert William Taylor, of Crystal Brook. He enlisted at age 19 at Birkenhead. He married Noelene Olive BOWLEY (b. 1923) in 1947 and they had two children, Helen and Glen.

Ralph was one of many attendees at Noelene’s surprise 21st birthday party. Noelene was a talented singer, pianist, and poet.

The couple were married for around 41 years, with Ralph dying at age 65 on 6 May 1988 and Noelene in 2010 at 86. They are buried together in Christ Church Anglican Cemetery in Kapunda, SA.

There is a beautiful stained glass window in the Kapunda Christ Church Anglican church: Jesus the Sower. The window was installed in memory of Ralph, Noelene Taylor & family, in May 1989.
