Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Alfred Isaac and Doris Evelyn (nee COSGROVE) CREEK of 5 Henry Street, Norwood.  Educated at Marist Brothers, Norwood, he played football and cricket and was fond of swimming and dancing.  In civilian life he worked at various occupations, partly at fruit picking on River Blocks and was later employed by Hall & Sons, Norwood.  Enlisting in December 1941 he was transferred to Port Moresby immediately after joining.

His uncle, Pte. L G COSGRAVE was a member of the 27th Battalion in The Great War and was killed in action in France.
