Son of Mr and Mrs R.A. GLASS.  Jack resided at 116 Carrington Street, Adelaide, and had been educated at the Gilles Street Public School.  For many years he was employed at Simpson & Sons' Factory in Adelaide, and then as a foreman of the Electric Cooker Department.  He joined the Royal Australian Engineers in January 1942 and trained at Oakbank and Woodside.
