Husband of Lorna Mortimer. After the war Brian(Bill) was involved with the breeding of Thoroughbred horses working at Dibden Park Stud at Oakbank and later at the well known Balcrest Stud at Balhannah, South Australia
Son of Bruce William Mortimer and Ivy Holdway Eyers; brother of Raymond Bruce Mortimer, Olive Holdway Mortimer, Maxine Vera Mortimer, Gwenda Beth Moritmer and Reva Margaret Mortimer.
Served in the 2/2 Pioneer Battalion
