Son of Williams Stanley (WW1 - 32 Battalion) Simmons and Marian Gladys Simmons nee Northway; brother of Thelma Jean Northway Simmons

Husband of Catherine Isobel Knipe who was born in Horsham, Victoria on 15 October 1921. Catherine also served during WW2 in the AWAS
