Son of Frank Farmer Sullivan and Grace Sullivan; husband of Gladys Maud Sullivan, of Scotts Creek, South Australia.

HIS DUTY NOBLY DONE

Advice has been received by Mrs. J. W. Sullivan that her husband SX16946 Pte. James W. Sullivan was killed in action in New Guinea, on January 21. He leaves a wife and two  tiny children. Pte. Sullivan was the third son of Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan of Malpas. He was 22 years of age and spent all his life in the district. He was educated at the Malpas School and  standing well over six feet was a good all round athlete. His wife was formerly Miss Wooding, of Scott's Creek. He enlisted in February, 1942 and left Australia in December last.
