Son of Mr and Mrs E.L. LINSKET, late of Cadell, SA.
Husband of Gladys LINSKET of 3 Little Rundle Street, Kent Town, SA. Married with three children, William was educated at Cadell Public School and gained his Q.C. He played cricket and football and for several seasons he played football for Cadell and Loveday. In civilian life he worked on River Murray Fruit Blocks for several years and worked in the galvanising plant of Wiles Chromium Company at Mile End. He enlisted in December 1941 and trained at Woodside, Glenelg and Cheltenham. He married the eldest daughter of Sgt. F.D. James, a member of the 7th Dragoon Guards.
