DEATH CAUSED BY EXPLODING BULLET
On Tuesday morning Mr. Sydney Edward Morley, aged 46 years, of Green street, Wangaratta, was killed when a pea rifle cartridge exploded, the bullet entering his head.
Mr. Morley and Mr. Roy Lamson were camped in a hut on Mr. C. Bailey's property at Taminick, and were engage in trapping rabbits. Mr. Lamson was near the hut cleaning rabbits when he heard the report of the rifle. On entering the hut he found Mr. Morley on a bed with the rifle lying against the bed. He at once called for the assistance of Mr. Bailey, but Mr. Morley died shortly afterwards.
Mr. Morley was a son of Mrs. Morley and the late Mr. Morley, of Wangaratta. He is survived by his wife and a family of nine children.
