Son of Michael Joseph and Mary Immaculate Griffin, of Joslin, South Australia

Mrs M. J. Griffin, of 1st Avenue, Joslin, has received advice of the death of SX11744, Driver C. A. (Peter) Griffin, in Burma on April 23rd. 1043, from illness The last message from Driver Griffin stated he was well on February 23rd, 1943 which was received in November of the same year. Driver Griffin was the second son of Mrs and the late Mr Mick Griffin, formerly of Penton Vale, where he was born. He was educated at the Coobowie Public School and worked in the district for several years before going to the City, where he was employed at S.A Hardwoods Ltd when he enlisted.
