Son of Mr and Mrs J.C. PARSONS of Edmund Street, Norwood.

Husband of Ida Millicent PARSONS of 19 Henry Street Norwood, SA.  Married with one child, Samuel was educated at the Norwood Public School and went on to the Norwood High School.  He played cricket and football for South Adelaide and was fond of athletics and running and has won events in the Tramways sports.  He was a member of the Interstate Tramways Football Team and won trophies for excellent play.  In civilian life he was a motorman in the M.T. Trust for many years.  Enlisting in December 1940 he left Australia in April 1941.   Through an accident was landed at Fremantle, and returned to Australia discharged as medically unfit in July 1941. 

His brother Pte. James PARSONS was a member of the Pioneers in the Great War and saw service at Gallipoli.
