My dad
Murray married my mother in 1946.
I arrived in 1947 and then 3 brothers and 2 more sisters.
He became an apprentice butcher in 1945 under Len Reid in Victor Harbor where he worked for many years until an accident sent him into a new job as gardener etc at a local motel based on a large reclaimed area of Inman River.
After his retirement he did lots of odd jobs before hospital visits saw him deal with heart attack and vascular issues. He lost part of a leg and gained an artificial piece.
This did not deter him from doing most things including driving.
Next came cancer in the mouth which proved to be his final battle.
He left many war photos unlabelled.
