On enlisting he was married to Isobel Battams.
 
20/7/1940  Enlisted at Moorook, South Australia (place of enlistment Wayville SA)

25/1/1945  Discharged as a Gunner in 3 Reinf 2/7 Army FD Regiment.

Last lived at Hawdon House, Barmera, South Australia.

Buried with wife Isobel Joan Battams (d. 9/12/2012 93yrs, last lived at Acacia House, Loxton Hospital).
