Son of Mrs E.E. and the late Mr. DREWETT of Murray, Bridge, SA

Husband of Gwendoline Amanda Britton DREWETT of 16 Eight Street, Bowden, SA with six children when he enlisted.

Educated at Murray Bridge, Roy played cricket and football for River teams.  In civilian life he worked as a nickel finisher at factories in the Brompton District.  Enlisted in June 1940 and trained at Wayville, he left Australia in November 1941.  He served several months in Tobruk and then went to Palestine and Syria.
