Son of William Alaexander Osborne and Eleanor Mary Osborne of 'Craigulle', Summer Street, Orange, NSW.

At the time of enlistment he was employed with Windayer & Williams of 23-25 O'Connell Street, Sydney, NSW

Commenced return to Australia on 23 March 1919 aboard HT Czar disembarking on 16 May 1919 at Melbourne then transhipped to HT Dongola for onward travel to Sydney.

Medals: Military Cross, 1914-1915 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal, Croix de Guerre. The Croix de Guerre was award on on 1 November 1918

During 1941c Ronald married Phyllis Kathleen Evers in Petersham, NSW
