Personal Stories
Uncle Doug
That would be my Uncle Doug, older brother of my father Ross Alfred. The family grew up in Payneham, and postwar Doug and his family lived in Prospect.
Doug was at Tobruk during the 'Desert Rats' siege and the family history has it that his hair went snow white overnight during a very heavy artillery bombardment from German and Italian heavies.
