Son of the late Mr and Mrs W TULLY, of Broken Hill, NSW.  Married with one child and residing at 76 West Street Brompmton, Charles was educated at Sacred Heart School, Mica Street, Broken Hill.   He worked at farming in various parts of South Australia and at the time of enlistment in June 1940 was working at Chain of Ponds.  He left Australia in November 1940 for the Middle East.  Saw service right through the campaign of 7 months in Tobruk, then Palestine, and then returned to Australia in March 1942.
