4 Oct 1918:	Honoured Military Medal, "The Last Hundred Days", For bravery and devotion to duty at Allonville, France on the night of 30/31 May 1918. At about 1.30 am on 31st, a heavy hostile shelling of the lorry park caused over 100 casualties. Despite large quantities of ammunition and petrol in the park he assisted, during the whole time of the shelling, with removing 13 wounded to the dressing station.
