Son of Richard and Mary Ann Todd, of 17, Victoria Avenue, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.

HERE LIES A HERO ONE OF AUSTRALIAS BEST FOREVER WITH THE LORD

Gnr Wm. R. Todd, of C. Company, 58th Battalion, son of Mrs M. A. Todd, 1514 Sturt street, was killed in action in France on 8th August. Gnr Todd was a native of Ballarat and 24  years of age. He left Australia on 27th October, 1915, with the 6th Reinforcements to the 23rd Battalion. Prior to enlisting he was working at Wallace. Three other brothers enlisted, and one is still on active service.
