Another charnge is to be made in the administration of the Downs Central Recruiting Depot at Toowoomba, the Recruiting and Enlisting Officer there, Lieut. W.A. Millward, having resigned his appointment in order to join the teaching staff at Clayfield College, Brisbane.

The Lieutenant belongs to Toowoomba, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Millward.  He attended the North Stte School as a boy, and ws on the staff there for eight years.  He is also an old Grammar School boy.   He has been assoicted with the 11th Darling Downs Infantry in Toowoomba from its inception and served in it as a Corporal, Colour Sergeant, Regimental Sergeant, Major, 2nd Lieutenant, and 1st Lieutenant.  He enlisted with the 9th Battalion on the outbreak of the war, and in Egyptt was severely wounded, receiving a fracture of the skull, being invalided home in onsequense in 1915.  Lieut. Millward is one of two Queensland life members of the Returned Sailors and Soldiers' Imperial League of Astralia.
