Son of William Sidney Ridout Woodforde, M.B., C.M., and Annette Juner Ridout Woodforde, of Goondiwindi, Queensland.

HECTOR WOODFORDE.
Late on Monday night the sad news was conveyed to Dr. and Mrs. Ridout Woodforde that their son Hector had been killed in action  on the Western Front on February 25. The late Private Hector Sidney Ridout Woodforde was educated at the Toowoomba Grammar  School, and his happy, sunny disposition endeared him to a wide circle of friends.

Another Goondiwindi boy to lose his life for the Empire was Hector Woodforde, son of Dr. Woodforde, of Goondiwindi. His mother is a cousin of Jerome K. Jerome, the writer, and the family have been more than twenty years residents of Goondiwindi,  where Hector was born.
