Son of Mr and the late Mrs G HERRAMAN of Walkerville Arms, Walkerville. Samuel resided at 299 Carrington Street Adelaide, was married with seven children. He enjoyed playing cricket, football and was interested in boxing. In civil life he worked on outback sheep and cattle stations and later was employed by Fricker Bros. Building Contractors. His wife came from a very military family - his father-in-law Trooper W.R. Jones fought in the Boer War, her brother was killed in the Great War and another brother Sgt. Pilot A.T. Jones is a member of the RAF. Two other of her brothers Sgt. F Jones and Major W Jones were also in the Great War.
