Bryan Francis
Bryan Garnett Francis had been a bank clerk.
He was born at Millswood, SA on 8/2/1919, the only son of Archibald Roy Francis, a teacher, and Emily Grace Francis (nee Garnett), and had sisters Jean (b.1916), Elma (b.1922) and Patricia (B.1924) (From SAGHS website).
My father, Bert Evans, SX4626, of 6 Recovery Section 2/2 Army Field Workshops, knew Bryan from schooldays (Unley High School), and in a letter home, mentioned going to the 2/10 to catch up with Bryan on 1/1/1941, 6 weeks before Bryan was killed,as both were in the Tobruk area during the siege. (Tobruk Rats).
Bryan is buried in the Knightsbridge War Cemetery, Libya, about 25km west of Tobruk.
Refer also to World War 1 record on this website of Archibald Roy Francis, Bryan's father, who was awarded the Military Cross.
