Add my storyBiography
Allan served in Tabrook he recalled heat, flies and a constant ringing in his ears from the constant shelling. I recall him telling me with great pride how the Australians were the first troops to turn back Rommel's advance because they didn't follow the rules and retreat when the tanks arrived but instead stayed safe in thier trenches and shell holes then shot up the tanks infintary support which left the tanks vunurable.
Injured by a land mine he returned ta australia after recuperating he rejoined 2/10 went to NewGuinea fought on Kokoda trail then Milne bay Sananda & Buna
