Howard is mentioned in this book and refer to the index for details. The citation for the award of the MM (Military Medal) for actions at Faria Ridge 22 Jan 1944 is also detailed in the annex. He survived the war, and was discharged from duty 7th Sep 1945.

On the 3rd of April 1916, Howard William Bloffwitch was born in Prospect SA. Before enlisting Bloffwitch was a laborer. He enlisted on the 16th of November 1939 and was put into the 2/10th Australian Infantry Battalion and served his time as a Corporal.
He wwas discharged in 1945 and died May 28th 1949.
