Son of Emily and the late Charles PETERSON of 19 Orange Street, Norwood.  Educated at Black Foret School, George was fond of table tennis and the winner of 2 cups.  He was married and residing at 337 Halifax Street, Adelaide when he enlisted in November 1939 and was sent to England, Scotland, Tobruk and Syria. He returned to Australia and was serving in Queensland.
