Biography

Son of Cyril James Barlow of Albert Terrace, Solomontown. Vere resided at 57 Downing Street, Hove.  He was fond of swimming and enlisted in March 1939 and left Australia for England.  He then went to the Middle East where he lost a leg from sniper fire.  He married in England and returned to Australia on 13 March 1941
