William is mention a few times in this book, and detailed in the Index at the rear. The index also has the citation for the MM (Military Medal) awarded for the action at Buna in Dec 1942. Lightly wounded in that action, he remained on duty, but suffered a more serious wound at Sanananda Jan 1943, which caused him to be hospitalized and later discharged 29th 1944.
