Son of John Albert Patching and Sarah Ann Patching nee Gaye of 70 Berry Street, Clifton Hill, Victoria. George's birth was not record until 1891
During 1921 George married Greta Medson in Victoria
Returned to Australia on 1 February 1919 aboard HT Nestor as invalid due to gunshot wound to the back
