Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Mr and Mrs R.W. Todd of Kangarilla.  Educated at Sturt Street (Adelaide) Public School and Lockleys Public School, Robert played soccer.  In civilian life he was a labourer at Cotys Importers when he enlisted in October 1939.  He left Australia for England in May 1940 and went to the Middle East where he took part in desert fighting and was wounded in Tobruk after serving 8 months there.  Robert returned to Australia in Mach 1942.
