"LATE LCE.-CPL. A. G. STORY.
Lce.-Cpl. Archibald G. Story was killed in action in France on. August 22. He was the second son of the late Mr. W. and Mrs. S. M. Story, formerly of Crystal Brook and West Croydon, and was in the twentv-fifth year of his age. He enlisted in July, 1915, and left for the front on October 27. For several years prior to enlisting Lce.-Cpl. Story had been engaged in farming pursuits at Crystal Brook, but received an appointment in the clerical division of the railways service after he had enlisted, and this work he intended taking up on his return. He was of a bright, genial disposition, and his manliness won for him the highest regard of all who knew him. Another brother, Sgt. Ivan Story, has been wounded in France, but is recovering." - from the Adelaide Register 04 Oct 1916 (nla.gov.au)
