Son of Mr and Mrs Michael MOLAN of 72 East Parade, Kensington, SA. Husband of Mary Louise MOLAN of 73 Archer Street, North Adelaide. Educated at East Adelaide School, John played cricket, football and was fond of swimming. In civilian life he worked as a carpenter on various construction works at Whyalla and Iron Knob. He served with the 50th Battalion in the Great War and saw service in France and returned to Australia after the armistice. He enlisted in WW2 in June 1940 and left for overseas and has seen service in Syria and other parts.
