Elizabeth was born in Port Lincoln South Australia on the 5.09.1913, she had 5 other siblings. Elizabeth was the daughter of Frank Clifton Spotswood. She attended school at Wilderness school, Medindie South Australia, and graduated to work in an office. Once she had worked in the office for a significant amount of time, she enlisted at the age of 32.
Elizabeth enlisted on the 24.11.1941 joining the Australian Army Medical Women's Service as a nurses aid. She served in Adelaide River at the 107 Australian General Hospital and various other locations across the country and was deployed to New Guinea from 18.5.1945 to 3.2.1946. She was discharged 7.4.1947.
After the war she married to Nelson Maloney.
Elizabeth died in Melbourne, 5 November 2005, aged 92 years. She is buried at a cemetery located at Diamond creek, Victoria.
