Ernest Edgar Pryor AIF 1687
Ernest was a single man born 27 October 1866 in Clare S,A., son of William H Pryor. He enlisted as being aged 42 and 7 months but was actually 49 years 5 months. He had worked as a steward at the Adelaide Commercial Travellers Club on North Terrace but was working as a registered photographer from about 1908. He cared for his widowed mother and for his epiletic sister until her death. He was a sophisticated gentle man who enjoyed musical soirees and singing. His personal effects included a French book, a leather case and a painting outfit.
