Austin Bramwell CREED was born in Mount Gambier, South Australia on 10th August, 1906

His parents were Harry CREED & Caroline Jane WEDD who married in Victoria on 20th January, 1897

He married Alma Genevieve HICKINGBOTHAM in Victoria in 1935 - one son Graeme

He enlisted in Royal Park, Victoria on 30th July, 1940 with the 2nd/22nd Infantry Battalion and was taken a prisoner of war in Rabaul

Austin died on 22nd February, 1942 and is buried in the Rabaul (Bita Paka) War Cemetery

His twin brother Noel Bramwell CREED (SN SX9943) also served during WW2 and was discharged on 17th April, 1945
