Commemorated on Mount Pleasant Soldiers' Memorial Hall Honor Board and Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church Honor Board.

A welcome home social was held for he and another returned soldier on 14 February 1916 at Blumberg (now Birdwood). Both soldiers told of their experiences. Items were conducted and the Blumberg Brass Band featured for their first appearance.

Died in Queensland on 23 May 1965, aged 69 years.

Biography

"...1265, Bugler Reginald Hales Finch was born at Naracoorte, South Australia, on 1 February 1896. He enlisted at Morphettville on 14 September 1914. Serving with 16th Infantry Battalion, he was wounded in action at Gallipoli and returned to Australia in February 1916. He re-enlisted with Service number 2607 in March 1916 and served with 32nd Infantry Battalion. While serving in France he was wounded in action for a second time on 26 April 1918.
