Private Casualty Advices

Mrs. D. Brown, of Stonehaven street, Rosewater Gardens, has been informed that her husband, Pte. Allan P. Brown, died of illness on or after September 1, 1943, while a prisoner of war in Japanese hands. Pte. Brown was educated at the Alberton and Port Central schools, and was a keen Scouter, having been a member of the Alberton troop for many years. At the time of enlisting he was employed by   the SA railways, and was stationed at Tailem Bend. Pte. Brown was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Carson, of Stonehaven street, Rosewater Gardens.
