Biography

Laurence Bonaventure (Laurie) Ryan was born in Melbourne, Victoria

His parents names are unknown

He enlisted for the Korean War - Service no. 3/37672 - his last rank was a Lieutenant with the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment

He died on 13th July, 1952 in Korea & is listed on the Australian War Memorial and also on the Korea Roll of Honour in Bairnsdale, Victoria

Lieutenant Ryans body was never recovered and is therefore regarded as missing, presumed killed in Action - No known grave
