Flying Officer Bruce Horace Anderson 260770 of 75SQN was shot down in Kittyhawk A29-16 during an attack on Japanese aircraft parked at Lae airstrip - his body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Lae Memorial

Bruce Horace ANDERSON was born in Sydney, NSW on 24th October, 1916

His parents were James William Falconer ANDERSON & Winifred Alice JONES who married in Sydney in 1914

He had previously served with the 1st Artillery Survey Company before enlisting in the RAAF
