Son of Henry William and Ellen Nancey Bain, of Tasmania, Australia
A.B. William John Bain, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Bain, of Hobart, and Mrs. Trevor Stacey, Hobart is a sister. He was a member of the crew of the Sydney. Sir John Evans, chairman of the King George's Fund for Sailors, has received acknowledgment from thc Governor General (Lord Gowrie, V.C.), of the motion of condolence for relatives of officers and men of the Sydney and Parramatta.
