Son of Walter and Jessie Florence Baxter of St. Kilda, Victoria

Plane was a Beaufort A9-85 and was flying in formation when it collided wit another plane while out for flying parctice. All crew of 4 were killed instantly. Allan was acting as an Observer at the time of the crash

RAAF 1OTU Beaufort aircraft A9-85 collided in mid-air with A9-88 and crashed 5 miles northwest of Bairnsdale, Victoria. Beaufort A9-88 crash landed, all crew safe.
