Leonard Lassiter BEAUCHAMP was born on 12th February, 1917 in Elsternwick, Victoria

His parents were Leonard Lassiter BEAUCHAMP and Helen (Ella) Fraser WEST

He enlisted with the 113 Squadron (RAF) as a Flying Officer on the 5th January, 1941

He went missing in action and presumed dead on 18th June 1942 in India in a Flying Battle - he is listed on the Singapore Memorial and the Roll of Honour in Brighton Victoria and the Australian War Memorial

Leonards father also called Leonard Lassiter BEAUCHAMP was a Captain in WW1 (39th Australian Infantry Battalion) and was awarded the Military Cross on 3rd March, 1918
