Flying Officer Bennett 411272 of Number 5 Elementary Flying Training School was killed in the loss of Tiger Moth aircraft A17-513 at Clergate near Orange in NSW

The other crewman was Warrant Officer Victor Edward Mahy 436202 who survived the incident and was discharged from the RAAF in 1946
