Douglas Payne BILLMAN was born in Melbourne on 25th November, 1922

His parents were George Henry BILLMAN & Ethel Louisa CAIN who married in Victoria in 1921

He first enlisted in the Army on 9th August, 1940 and was discharged on 29th December, 1941 after serving with the 30th Infantry Battalion

He re-enlisted with the Royal Australian Air Force on 20th June 1942 & died in a Flying Battle on France on 26th July, 1944 - he is buried in the Verrieres Churchyard in France in a Collective grave - last rank Flying Officer
