John Harold BLACKBORROW was born in London in England on 29th March, 1920

His parents were Charles BLACKBORROW & Gladys Maud SIMPSON who married in 1912 in Camberwell in England

The family including a brother Charles arrived in Fremantle in Western Australia on the ship Esperance Bay on 5th May, 1924 - another brother Desmond was born in WA

His father Charles BLACKBORROW (SN W26288) served in a Garrison Battalion during WW2 and was discharged on 29th April, 1943

His brother Charles George BLACKBORROW (SN WX12149) served in the Army during WW2 and was discharged on 3rd October, 1944

Another brother Desmond BLACKBORROW (SN A5211) joined the RAAF during WW2 and was discharged on 27th January, 1956
