Cleave George BOYD was born on 2nd October 1906 in Fremantle, Western Australia under the name George C. STUCKEY

His Father was George James STUCKEY who was born in Victoria and his Mother was Savina Maud CAMERON who was born in New Zealand - they married in 1905 in the St Johns Church of England in Fremantle, WA

After his father George died, his mother remarried in 1928 to a George Ephraim BARBOUR

Cleave had two known sisters, Ruby Thelma and Savina Isabel

He married Melva Olive MACE in 1940 in Victoria

He  enlisted with the Australian Army on 10th June 1940 in Caulfield in Victoria

Cleave was Killed in Action on 19th January, 1942 in Malaya & is buried in the Kranji War Cemetery, Singapore -

The inscription says "Loved and remembered always"

His name is memorialized on the Australian War Memorial and also on the Roll of Honour in Sheffield, Tasmania
