15 Sep 1940:	Enlisted Royal Australian Navy, Sub Lieutenant, HMAS Derwent (Shore)
19 Aug 1942:	Involvement Royal Australian Navy, Lieutenant Commander, Attached Royal Navy, Serving on HMS Dinosaur a Tank Landing Craft, involved in the raid on Dieppe. Declared Missing presumed killed.
