Edward Richard George BURLEY was born in Ryde, NSW on 10th October, 1921
His parents were Albert Ernest BURLEY & Ethel May HERBERT who married in Sydney in 1912
He married Nancy Elanor CRICHTON in Sydney in 1942

His brother Alfred Lawrence Australia BURLEY (SN S/8321) also served in the Royal Australian Navy during WW2 and was discharged on 22nd May, 1946 (HMAS Penguin) - Stoker
